2025-2026 Regatta Calendar released
The Board of Rowing Tasmania endorsed the 2025-2026 regatta calendar earlier this month.
The on water season will kick off with the Kirby Cup on Saturday, October 4.
You can find the calendar here or by clicking on the banner above.
Keep a copy handy by taking a screenshot of the live calendar, or you can find a PDF copy under the Regattas & Events dropdown on the RT website to save and print: Home - Rowing Tasmania
There may be a few tweaks to come (NTT dates were added recently), so check in with the live calendar regularly to stay on top of any updates.
If you're a parent, guardian, friend or older sibling of a rower looking to get involved at a regatta then why not give volunteering a go!
A session or two, a day or two - whatever the time you can offer, Rowing Tasmania's shrinking band of Boat Race Officials and regatta volunteers need assistance to help us continue to run successful regattas for our club and school rowers.
Put your hand up to drive an umpire boat, dispense bow numbers, carry out safety checks, join the team at the finish tower as a judge or timekeeper, or hit the button to hoot rowers as they cross the finish line. On or off the water, there is a role waiting for you!

Register now for Coach Accreditation

Become an accredited coach in time for the start of the 2025-2026 rowing season to ensure you are covered by the most appropriate insurance.
Rowing Australia has four coaching levels as part of the National Rowing Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NRCAS).
You can sign up for Coach Education through RA's Learning Portal or by visiting the Coach's Cafe on Rowing Tasmania's website: Coach's Cafe - Rowing Tasmania
Level 1: Become an accredited Rowing Australia coach. This online course is designed for beginner coaches.
Level 2: Take your coaching to the next level and become an accredited Rowing Australia Level 2 coach. There are two parts: the Online Course and the one-day workshop.
NRCAS coaching re-accreditation can be completed via your coaching profile on the Rowing Australia Coaching Portal - coaching.rowingaustralia.com.au
You will also need to complete the Coach Re-Accreditation Form and Coach's Code of Ethics Agreement Form and return both to RA's Sport Development Manager Ron Batt: coaching@rowingaustralia.com.au
V-Insurance Group has worked closely with Rowing Australia to design and provide an insurance program for accredited coaches.
Click here to view and download the Summary of Cover brochure which summarises the insurance cover in place for accredited coaches.

Do you have this important date in your diary? Rowing Tasmania's 113th Annual General Meeting and the 2025 Rowing Tasmania Annual Awards Presentation are at the Tamar Rowing Club, Launceston, on the morning of Saturday, August 30.
The Board invites you to arrive at TRC from 9.30am ready for the Awards Presentation to begin at 10am.
This will be followed by morning tea, with the 2025 AGM at 11.30am.
We hope to see you there!

Any physical contact with young athletes must be:
- Necessary for their participation or safety
- Linked to technique, equipment use or care
- Clearly appropriate and professional
It's up to all of us to build safer sporting spaces!
