MPIOs play a crucial role in promoting safe, fair, and inclusive sporting environments.

Having dedicated people who are well versed with your sport's member protection policy is a pre-emptive strategy in managing concerns, complaints and member protection matters.

MPIOs are trained to:

  • Advise members on their rights and responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on complaint procedures
  • Support the implementation of your sport's Member Protection Policy

Pathway to Becoming a Recognised MPIO
To become a nationally recognised MPIO through Play by the Rules, follow these three steps:

  1. Complete the online MPIO training course via the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning platform.
  2. Complete the MPIO face to face delivered workshop (see dates above)
  3. Register your nationally recognised accreditation with the MPIO Register.
