MPIOs play a crucial role in promoting safe, fair, and inclusive sporting environments.
Having dedicated people who are well versed with your sport's member protection policy is a pre-emptive strategy in managing concerns, complaints and member protection matters.
MPIOs are trained to:
- Advise members on their rights and responsibilities
- Provide guidance on complaint procedures
- Support the implementation of your sport's Member Protection Policy
Pathway to Becoming a Recognised MPIO
To become a nationally recognised MPIO through Play by the Rules, follow these three steps:
- Complete the online MPIO training course via the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning platform.
- Complete the MPIO face to face delivered workshop (see dates above)
- Register your nationally recognised accreditation with the MPIO Register.
