Level 1:
The Level 1 course is delivered online and the cost is $180.

Level 2:
RA now offers a Level 2 National Rowing Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NRCAS) online course.

The Level 2 Coaching Accreditation incorporates 2 components:
1. Completion of online course consisting of 4 Modules.
2. Completion of one-day workshop in Tasmania.

Upon completion of the Level 2 online course, you will receive a certificate. You will need to send this to Rowing Tasmania at admin@rowingtasmania.com.au to reserve a place in their next available one-day workshop. The workshop will cover Rigging and Rowing Technique and includes assessment.  The total cost of the course is $350.

Recognition of Prior Learning:
Any unaccredited coach wishing to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will need to follow the steps specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure document.  The cost is $66 for Level 1 and $154 for Level 2.

Riggers:
Rowing Australia also now offers an online Riggers coaching accreditation course.  This is an introduction to coaching indoor rowing using rowing ergometers. It is for anyone who wishes to deliver Rowing Australia’s Sporting Schools program called Riggers, including coaches, teachers and students over the age of 16 years.  The cost of the Riggers course is $100.  Please go here to register: https://education.rowingaustralia.com.au/store

Reaccreditation:
Coaching accreditation lasts for four years, after which coaches need to reaccredit.  You will need to list how you have earned the required number of points in both categories, as well as Practical and Personal Development over the last four years.  For example: Coached MU19 4x at Nationals, Sydney 2019 for Queens RC = 10 points, Gained Red Cross Senior First Aid, Brisbane, November 2019 = 10 points. Both of the below forms need to be completed and returned to Ron Batt: coaching@rowingaustralia.com.au.

All coaches need to create a coaching profile on the Rowing Australia coaching portal: https://coaching.rowingaustralia.com.au/.

Upload a copy of your Working With Children Check card or State equivalent on the RA Coaches database: https://coaching.rowingaustralia.com.au/.

Please note your accreditation will not be processed until a copy of your WWCC is uploaded onto your coaching profile through the credentials upload link.

A certificate will then be uploaded to your personal record for you to access.

Please email coaching@rowingaustralia.com.au with any queries.
